Install BudgetVault on any device

BudgetVault is a web app: no app store, no account, free. Installed, it opens from your home screen, Dock or taskbar in its own window, and works without internet.

Questions

Is an installed web app a real app?

It opens from its own icon, in its own window without browser bars, and works offline. Under the hood it is the same BudgetVault you use in the browser, so there is nothing to download from an app store and nothing to update: it updates itself when you are online.

Where is my data after installing?

On your device, as before. On Android and on computers the installed app uses the same data as the browser. On iPhone and iPad the installed app keeps its own storage, so install first, or move your data with a backup file (Settings → Back up, then restore it in the installed app).

Can I use BudgetVault on my phone and my computer?

Yes, on each device separately. There is no cloud sync, by design: to move your data, save a backup file on one device and restore it on the other.

How do I uninstall it?

Like any app: press and hold the icon and choose Remove App (iPhone) or Uninstall (Android), or open the app window menu and choose Uninstall (Chrome and Edge on a computer). Back up first if you want to keep your data.

Not ready to install?

It works in a browser tab too. Look around first.
